I was pretty tired with work lately. The amount of work in school is piling and never seemed to end. I was reminded of the days when I first started out in 2003, with full of energy each day and enjoying every single moment of it. Those days of fulfillment soon faded away with the disappointments and hiccups in life.
Indeed, God is never early and He will never be late. He is always on time. I was really thankful to God for giving me encouragement and a strong boost of energy when I got my performance bonus. I was shocked. Shocked for words, really. It wouldn't be possible if not for His grace and wisdom. This kind of reminded me that God is watching everything that I do and His reward is in due season. I just got to keep giving my best in all that I do. No slackening. Of course, I must thank those who fought for me to justify my contributions.
Well, with this performance bonus, I finally gave Eunice and MK a long awaited treat on MK's birthday. They had really blessed me a lot when I was going through a tough period in life. After CGM, we went to Villa Bali, together with Merf and Ken to chill. It was a relaxing day of just sitting around and talking nonsense, laughing and joking around. Although nothing serious was discussed, I felt that it was great fellowship. For me, nothing beats spending time with friends in a relax mode.
On Saturday, I planned to jog at East Coast Park with Ken and GML. When I was about to set off, it rained heavily. So well, there goes our workout plan again. So in the end, Ken and I went to Starbucks at East Coast to do our work. We then proceeded to OLD TOWN for a sumptuous dinner. Really delicious food! It's really finger licking good. Check out the photos.
My prawn noodles...
Ken's Asam Laksa...
And our curry chicken with glutinous rice...
There you see it, now you don't!
Did you see how clean our bowls and plates were? That's how nice the food is! Really a good place to go for makan! After that we went to Marina Square to browse around. We ended up at Suntec Carrefour and I bought two 6kg dumbbells while Ken bought a 10kg dumbbell. So we lugged it all the way from Suntec back to Marina Square where he parked his car. It was.... MADNESS! A good workout though. I perspire like I'd just ran 10km. Hahaha. It was a great day spent.
Doing some financial budgeting now to see if I can afford to get a new TV and Wii. Really hope I can. But maybe I shouldn't. I am saving up for Taiwan trip this June.
It's work week again!!!
